North Smithfield - a premier location for community friendly businesses

Press Release

Attract New Businesses
In the past, our Town Councils have always accepted what ever development came banging on our door with empty promises of "tax revenue." We haven't been selective nor have we negotiated reasonable deals with developers. Town Councils have granted high density housing developers zoning changes against the wishes of past Planning Board member recommendations. We now are faced with providing expensive Town services and legal action from such "promising" developers.

Why can't Town Council promote North Smithfield as a premier location for community friendly businesses? When is the last time that our Town Council proactively sought to attract businesses to our Town? Have we ever placed an advertisement in high circulation national print media seeking high caliber companies to locate in North Smithfield? With a small investment the potential can be very rewarding. Let's start the process.

We need a Town Council and an Administrator that are proactive partners in marketing the strengths and benefits of North Smithfield. My deep involvement in Town Planning over the last 9 years and numerous boards and committees qualify me to address the on going issues in Town that get talked about but never solved.
